Advertising Agency Invoice Template

An advertising agency invoice is used to bill clients, typically 10% to 15% of the advertising budget, for creating ads, media, and/or marketing strategies for their targeted audience. An invoice for advertising should include both the names of the agency and the client, the name of the advertising campaign and the total cost of the project.

Advertising Agency

An advertising agency will either charge a client on a percentage or fee based system. The cost will also depend on the amount of control they have over the campaign. Using the percentage based system, an agency will collect a percentage from the total cost of putting together an advertising campaign. Large (expensive) campaigns will typically be charged on a percentage. Normally an agency will charge a 15% fee. For example, if a television campaign costs $10,000 to create, the agency will collect $1,500 for their services.

With a fee based system, a client can pick and choose the services they want from an advertising agency as to keep costs down and to have more control over the campaign. In return, the client will pay an hourly fee to the advertising agency.

Advertising agencies work in the following fields:

  • Digital
  • Television
  • Writing
  • Radio
  • Newspapers
  • Billboards

Because of the rapid acceleration of technology, more and more small businesses are looking for better ways to market their business without having to hire an expensive advertising agency. When seeking to create a campaign on Google (via Google Ads) or on YouTube, hiring a freelancer can do the trick. Also, by keeping the operation in-house, you will be able to track analytics and see which campaigns are working and those that are not. Use an advertising agency invoice when hiring a freelancer.
