Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

RocketRent, Inc. (“RocketRent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) does not sell your personal information for money. Like many companies, we may share limited personal information with advertising and analytics partners to provide cross‑context behavioral advertising (sometimes called “targeted advertising”). In states where the law treats this as a “sale” or a “share,” you have the right to opt out.

Use the options below to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising.

How to opt out

Open our Cookie Preferences center and disable Advertising/Retargeting cookies. This sets a preference cookie so we remember your choice:

Note: Your cookie preferences are browser- and device‑specific. If you clear cookies or use a different browser/device, you’ll need to set your preferences again.

2) Global Privacy Control (GPC)

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising where required by law. Learn more about enabling GPC in your browser extensions or privacy settings.

3) Account setting (signed‑in users)

From your account, go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Advertising preferences and turn off “Allow cross‑context advertising.” This applies to your account, but some ad tools still rely on cookies; for best results, also update your Cookie Preferences.

4) Submit a request (alternative method)

You can also submit a rights request asking us to opt you out by emailing privacy@rocketrent.com

 

If you use an authorized agent, we will require proof of authorization and may ask you (or the agent) to verify your identity.

What does “sale” or “share” cover here?

  • Share for cross‑context behavioral advertising: sending identifiers (e.g., cookie IDs, mobile ad IDs), device data, and page/app events to ad platforms to measure conversions, build audiences, suppress ads to existing customers, and show more relevant ads. 
  • Sale (as defined by state law): disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. RocketRent does not sell personal information for money. 

The opt‑out does not block all advertising—only personalized ad flows covered by these laws. Essential disclosures to service providers (e.g., Stripe for payments, hosting, security, or analytics acting under our instructions) are not considered a sale/share.

Scope & effect of your choice

  • Your choice applies to the browser/device where you set it and, if you are signed in and use the account toggle, to your account as well. 
  • We’ll stop using personal information from your browser/account for cross‑context behavioral advertising and will limit signals sent to ad partners accordingly. 
  • After you opt out, you may still see ads, but they should be less tailored. We may continue to measure basic campaign performance on an aggregated or de‑identified basis. 

State privacy rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia (and other states with similar laws) may exercise rights to opt out of sale, sharing, and/or targeted advertising. You may also have rights to access, delete, or correct your information. See our Privacy Policy for full details and methods of request.

Appeal process. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email or emailing privacy@rocketrent.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”

Verification & authorized agents

We may need to verify your identity (and authority, if acting as an agent) before completing certain requests. Verification may include confirming control of your email address/phone number or limited matching of account details. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority and, if required, a signed permission from the consumer.

Minors

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. If you believe a minor has used our Services or made a request, please contact privacy@rocketrent.com.
