A cash deposit receipt is used to accept and acknowledge a payment received in cash. It can for any item or service and should be described in the receipt.
It&#x2019;s recommended for the receipt to be signed by the person receiving the money and kept for their records (at least 3 years according to the <a href="https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/how-long-should-i-keep-records" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">IRS</a>).
