A dog receipt is a document acknowledging the full payment or deposit for the purchase of a dog or puppy. Any deposit made by the buyer goes toward the full amount owed when they collect their dog. It is recommended that the buyer retain the receipt in case they must prove that they legally paid for the ownership of their dog.
