A business payment receipt is a document that acknowledges that a payment was received in exchange for a business’ product or service. Unlike an estimate or an invoice, a business payment receipt is only issued after the client fulfills the payment in full. It is recommended that both parties keep the receipt for proper record-keeping and tax purposes.
